All the above. We have cousins that own a place up there, and we sometimes stay at their cabin. They are also involved with the music festival. We've probably spent more time there in the summer with hiking and kayaking on nearby Alpine Lake.

 

My sister (SF) and I took over my brother's condo. They ski, we come up a couple times in the summer including the music festival. I might be up more since I am going to retire in June. It was an 8 hour drive in my Taco, 7 1/2 in the F150....(less if I don't have a diet Coke or 5 on the way)

 

Jealous of that MPG.

My 15 gets about 17-19 on the freeway. Anything over 65 starts to really kill it, even on flat land. Cruising on a 2 lane highway at 65 I've seen as high as 21-22. City mileage is about 12-13.

I just have 3.55's, but mine is a crew cab vs your extended cab.
