I hadn't been on here for a month or so, and it looks different somehow. wider, and it takes longer to scroll, load pictures. the "fordbarn" still works the same. just wondering if anyone else noticed.
EVERYBODY noticed and many made note of these changes. The worst one was the loss of the ability to return to the forum you were on. But to get up to speed, go to the very top of the forum and click on the "Feedback and instructions thread" just after the words "Please Read". This is just under the picture at the top. It explains a lot and tells you how to get back some of the flexibility we used to have.
I paid for a membership but the little Club FTE banner doesn't appear by my name. Why would that be? I definitely see advertising, but I wouldn't know if there would be even more for a non-member.

P.S. I like the new changes. The continuous scroll feature works great with my Mac laptop.
I thought it was my set up. I have an ad blocker so I don't see ads anyway. it makes using FTE unpleasant that's for sure. slow and clunky. does anybody know what inspired the change? it doesn't seem to be for the better.
Personally, the changes suck on my end. When the new "quick reply" came online, the forum became almost intolerable to use. New post, reading the forum, ect., are fine, but as soon as I click on a subscribed thread the mess begins. It takes forever to load, is very jerky to scroll, then when trying to scroll back to the top to click "user cp" to pull up unread subscribed threads, it will take forever to get there with all the jumping back and forth.
I have severely limited my reading because of the frustration of trying to navigate any thread I follow. Before the changes everything was as smooth as glass.

You should be hearing from someone about your membership soon.

I hear you yardbird. it makes my computer feel like it has malware or "Russian collution" problems. someone tried to shame me earlier about not being interested enough to re-set things. oh well.

What needs reset? If there is something I can do to help this mess, I will try it.

Yes. Go to the top and read the "Infinite scroll & related threads-feedback and instructions thread". It explains how to turn off the scroll feature which will take the site back to it's original operating mode. The smaller text is still there but everything has it's compromises.
