Not sure if you are looking for rebuilt or used, but Mid Fifty has rebuilt steering boxes as well as rebuild kits if you want to do your own.

What year is the truck? 1953/55 is different than 1956.

Plus, there two different cabs, Conventional Cab and Cab Forward. Cab Forward uses a different steering gear

TCAA-3504-A .. Steering Gear Box: 1953/55 F350/500/600 Conventional Cab.

B6Y-3504-A .. Steering Gear Box: 1956 F350/500/600 Conventional Cab.

Note: The steering shaft and worm & the sector shaft shown in post #2 are for F100/250 // F350/600 is different.

Ok didn't know they were different. the Parts and Acc catalog I looked at doesn't show 53-56 as different. F600 (model TH) I assumed conventional cab.

What in the world???

The upper chart only defines what series trucks used what parts catalog symbols, has NOTHING to do with steering gears!

Parts catalog symbol: C = F100 / D = F250 / Y = F350 / T = F500 / TH = F600 / W = C500 Cab Forward / WH = C600 Cab Forward and etc.

Lower is a generic pic, does not mean all these steering gears are the same!

Pic = Scroll down to 3504 Steering Gear application chart:

I don’t know the ‘53-‘56 stuff nearly as well as the first generation F-series parts, but I’m reasonably certain that the difference between the ‘53-‘55 steering gear and the ‘56 units is the length of the worm gear shaft and consequently the steering column due to the dash design change. The rest of the box is the same from ‘53 through ‘56 for the corresponding truck sizes.

EDIT: Duh! It says as much right there on the Midfifty catalog page in the 2nd post.
