Hi, I'm putting in my weather strip, but I'm not sure how these glass-run window felts go in. Specifically, where do they terminate on the top end? Am I supposed to trim them off right at the vent window, or do they get sandwiched between the vent window and the frame? This is the area I'm talking about.
As you can see, the felt is long enough that it continues under where the vent window mounts. Am I supposed to trim it off at some point? The other end is right at the end of the window run channel, so it wouldn't make sense to just pull it back the other way.
Last question, do these get glued in? They seem to be holding just fine for now, but I want to make sure they don't fall out.
The long piece will START at the vent window frame (which you don't have installed it seems) and proceeds along the top and down the back of the door as far as they will reach - no trimming.
The second piece starts at the top of the vent window frame and goes straight down that frame.

The vent window has been in and out. Thanks for the info!
