Vent window advice!

Instead of spending the $600 for a complete set of vent window from midfifty, I wanna try and use these. What am I missing? There’s a big space between the glass frame and outer frame

Several Vendors have them. I’m getting to the point of exclusively using MidFifty just because they stand behind their products even years after your purchases.

Anyone know how the vent window handle comes apart? Mines sloppy and needs attention.

There is a small pin through the handle. You need a small pin punch to drive it out. I redid mine close about 20 years ago, not hard.

Very easy, but get ready to catch the Handle, Washer, Spring & Button once you remove the pin.

Beware of this. A gap around the pivot hinge.

I am not sure who I bought these rubbers from. It may have been Mid-Fifty but they should not be like this. The hardened rubber on the originals weren't like this and the rubbers on my 54 which were put on in 1999 are not like this.

Hi abe

Curious. I just redid all the Window Seals on my 53 f100 and have this gap too. You addressed it? Thinking maybe warming up the rubber would help, not sure. Anyone else tackled that? [I used the midifities kit].
