Crazy side mirror question

My truck has no side mirrors. I want to put them on but I am afraid it will be too wide to fit in garage. How much width does the mirrors add to the truck on both sides? I know the top half folds inward but the bottom half that stick out of the door is fixed in place and juts out on an angle through the door. Thanks Scott

How narrow is your garage door? And what style mirror are you talking about?

The bottom part does sit at an angle, but is set in from the edge of the door and is close enough to vertical that it does not actually stick out farther than the widest part of the body of the door. The mirror head on the other hand does. Even with the bigger rectangular heads in the normal driving position, it is less than 6". Once folded in, I don't think they would be any wider than the lower part of the door, but mine are too rusted in place currently to try.
