I’d appreciate any pictures and input on rear mounted LED lights.
I routinely hook up trailers when it’s dark out and have been thinking about adding some extra lights to the rear of the truck that I would wire to an up fitter switch.
I like the clean lean look of flush mounts but I am nervous about cutting up the bumper!! I also wonder if the flush mounts throw light at enough angle to light up the ball on the hitch? Thinking maybe swivel mounts under the bumper angled in slightly. I looked at Rigid DSS but can’t bring myself to spend $350!
I installed these on my 17 F250 a few months ago - no drilling, just removed factory bolts under the rear bumper and installed. Cut the ends off of a 25' black extension cord to run the wiring into the engine compartment and tap into Upfitter #1.
They're extremely bright and seem to be of outstanding quality for the price.

Thanks for the pics. I like the way the long skinny ones are less noticeable but those cubes throw at a great angle. Very similar to the crazy expensive set I was looking at.
This is what I installed. Really simple/cheap LED's off amazon. I have not used them to back up to a trailer yet, but they throw good light. Amazon link
Did you drill into the bumper or was there holes already there? I haven’t looked under there to see about mounting in holes already present.
I cleaned the back side of the hitch hitch and used 3m take to attach aluminum brackets I made and attached my leds. They are hooked up to a upfitter switch
