LED Clearance/Marker Lights

Good Morning All,

Does anybody have any recommendations for LED Marker light bulbs? I have bought some from ebay and amazon (cheap ones) and they seem to work well for about 6-8 months before they start flashing and then go out.

Thanks Jim. Thats exactly what I am looking for somebody that has bought some that are decent priced and have been holding up. I am assuming without the resistors on the directionals they flashed quickly?

I currently run VLED's brand for my marker and clearance lights. Very nice product, no issues and have ran them for a few years.

Exactly! It didn't happen to the '08 truck strangely enough... something to do with the flasher system itself - 2011 and up needs to see a certain resistance and the LED's don't provide it, thus it thinks there's a bulb out!

You can just get the right flasher for your truck to make the turn signal work right.

I also run VLEDs, they are a bit more expensive than most but I was looking at increasing the brightness of the clearance lights and the VLEDs had the highest lumen output for an amber bulb that I could find, When I got them I had a bad one, they shipped me a new one after I sent them a picture of the bad one cut in 1/2. No complaints, was an easy process, they are much brighter than the stock bulbs which is what I was after. Some folks go for the "smoked" lenses. I didn't, I ordered new OEM lenses as mine were showing the effects of UV exposure. I haven't messed with my marker lights yet.

Thanks Jim we plan to...although apparently the truck has decided it needs some front end attention before leaving. I get random pulling to the left and then to the right that started after a tie rod end replacement and alignment its just part of the adventure.
