I have purchased a Stealth module for my 2017 and I am thrilled with it. I am planning on scheduling a visit at a local dyno shop to look at the results with real data to back it up. I know for a fact that I was able to get close to 3 mpg's back after adding 37's to my truck and then installing the Stealth module. I know this sounds like some sales pitch for Stealth but I am just a guy that was just as skeptical as you when I purchased my Stealth module. I had some big concerns with something that sounded to good to be true. I can't speak to the fact they claim to be untraceable by dealer warranty claims. The best advice I can give you is contact them directly and discuss their return policy if you are not happy. But after owning one I will tell you that you will be impressed for the cost of the module compared to a full tuner that flashes your ECM. I hope to get to the dyno shop within the next couple of weeks to see exactly what the Stealth module did for my truck.
Believe it or not they do not recommend much. They leave it up to the owner. I have found that the highest setting is where idget the nest economy. I even emailed Stealth and they find the same results if you drive conservatively. Which can be hard with the extra power and response. Stealth will tell you that every driver is different and you should adjust your settings depending on how you drive. But I have definitely had the best fuel economy at the highest setting. Basically I am using the throttle less due to extra power. But your experience may be different.
Wonder how the high setting with pedal commander on eco will do. I just got the duramileage module for my 450, which I believe is pretty close to the same as the stealth?
I was in a truck yesterday (f-350 6.7) with a stealth module, it was set at middle setting. The engine OR turbo was making a chatter when he pulled out from a stop. It did not sound healthy. Anyone notice this different engine or turbo chatter with theirs?
