Distributer swap
ive got a 1981 f150 with a 351w the previous owner swapped from Electric ignition to points leaving the ignition box and original starter silonoid on the right fender. My question is how would I go about swapping tonHEI and what buget-ish distributer will work with a stealth intake? Thanks

I think the HEI systems just use one wire hook up..I had an HEI in my 351w with a Stealth intake..
The problem is in the air cleaner clearance to the HEI, Those things are big! Not sure what brand I had,
there was no markings on it...Why not go to the Ford Dura Spark system, if your ignition box is still there?

If he has a box on the fender, then he probably does have the remnants of the duraspark system, he is just calling it the wrong thing. But a picture of the box on the fender would verify that.
