I have a very intermittent rattle inside my dash. It sounds like it is behind the vent that it to the right of the steering wheel. I’ll hear it a couple times a week and I can’t figure out how to reproduce it for the dealer. I am pretty sure it is a climate control component because it only does it when climate control is set to auto, and if I switch it to have the vents open on just the floor, or any other zone other than auto, the rattle immediately goes away.
Anyone else have this issue? If so, were you able to isolate it? If I can pin point it I’ll fix it myself since the dealer won’t do anything because they can’t reproduce the issue.
I just got an intermittent rattle in my driver's door. Very annoying. Sounds like speaker wire tapping against the aluminum. I don't have a dash rattle but I assume it might be something similar..
Something to consider, both me and my brother in-law had a rattle. Turned out to be the buttons on the clip on garage remote.
also the rear drivers side seat will rattle at the non accessable latch.
There are a few threads addressing a vibration of the tranny dipstick tube under the hood. I slit and put a rubber busing around the tube between it and the oil dipstick tube. Nice and quiet now.
I agree that there are a lot of rattles in these trucks! My 150 was super quite. All I heard was tire drone and the 5.0 exhaust. I think that this being the 1st year of the aluminum 250 they have some adjustments to make. I know the 150 has had aluminum for a couple years but I think the solid front axle and stiffer suspension makes stuff rattle a lot more.
I had the dipstick rattle too. I already addressed that one after see a thread on it here. This one is definitely inside the dash.
