Need help finding rattle under dash.
Guys/Gals, I currently have a rattle coming from under the dash. It is intermittent, sould like a light tapping noise. I did go in for service today but after driving the truck and attempting to locate the cause, the service writer said that they would need the truck for a day to remove parts/test drive to fix the problem. No problem, I have an appt for the 20th but they haven't had any experience chasing rattles(I guess this is a good thing), anyone here have a similiar issue or know of a possible cause. i have a rattle on the passenger side of the dash when i close my door with the truck shut off. with the truck running i dont hear the rattle on the passenger side of the dash. i havnt had it checked out yet, but i was thinking maybe something in the air vents, blend doors?

No there's no loose change, I actually took everything out of the vehicle to ensure it wasn't something else rattling. The service writer even located the general area w/stethoscope and it was coming from behind the dash panel. I'e got a n appt for the 20th and they intend to start taking things apart and securing anything not properly secured, torqued or chaffing against something else. Excellent serv. dept.
