wondering what you guys are using for tail/brake light bulbs in LED... lots of claims on the internet... tell me the good/bad/ugly/wonderful experience you've had...

The regular bulbs that came with my taillights are very bright and one would think the brakes were on until you actually put the brakes on and are super bright....

 

West Coast Classic Cougars sells the brightest Plasma LED 1157 replacements. A little pricey but well worth the extra $$. Take a look at the video.

 

I used the LED replacement lenses on my 48. They are much brighter than the original style glass lenses were. They sell them for both the keystone style light and the bonus built round lights, with LED license late lights.

 

I have found Brightbulbs to work best in these small lights.

It is hard to get a good picture at night.

Don't forget about the possibility of installing bright LED Brake/Signal-Tail lights in the bed rolls to supplement your regular tail lights.

This is a daytime picture that shows brake/turn, tail (Bright Light bulbs) and LED backup lights. Much brighter at night. I still plan to install a third brake light.
