I've had much better luck with WalMart batteries, especially compared to Motorcraft batteries.

But then I've had better luck with Bosch alternators, L-N alternators, ICP sensors, just not rebuilt motors.

I travel so much, and there are WalMarts everywhere.

And one of the reasons I use them. Pick up a stone, throw it, and you hit a WalMart.

But you run in hotter weather, so battery life will be shorter unless you get the "S" versions.

Ithink that is why have good luck with batteries over time. We just don't get the brutal weather here. YET.

Those ones I replaced only got used a few days. That bus has just been sitting in my driveway for the last 20 months. Probably not good for them. I was surprised that they were completely shot though. Wouldn't even register on my charger.

S .... would not have mattered.

”During prolonged charge deprivation, however, the amorphous lead sulfate converts to a stable crystalline and deposits on the negative plates. This leads to the development of large crystals that reduce the battery’s active material, which is responsible for the performance. Permanent sulfation sets in when the battery has been in a low state-of-charge for weeks or months.” - Battery University

If one cell shorts, the remaining cells in both battery will be drawn to the same.
