Alright I am about to upgrade from my old 79 that I have owned for 17 years and buy a family owned 2012 crew cab powerstroke. I plan to keep the truck for a long time and want to make things last as long as possible ie engine. Being that the new to me truck is now 6 years old there isn't much info out there on deletes that is up to date or recent (h&S sued by EPA etc in 2012ish) I want to do a egr and particulate filter delete but I know I need a tuner to lose the emissions junk. I have no desire to go beyond stock power and the truck is a loaded lariat and has 30k miles with no warranty. I think I would like the monitor ability of the h&s mini maxx but I do not want to turn the power up and almost want to not have the ability to do so for fear of damage to the motor and trans. Do you need to monitor egt on a stock modern diesel? I thought H&S went out of business is that true? If so why are mini maxx's available online? Are they a good tuner to use for a stock tune delete and extra gauge capability?

I do not want to use my phone to monitor gauges I prefer to have a monitor that is supported for upgrade and replacement if need be but don't need over stock power. Lets hear from those that have done the delete and what they like about what they have. I will do the work myself.
