SYNC 3 3.0 and AppLink?

SYNC 3 3.0 and AppLink?
Does anyone else have problems with getting Apps via AppLink to show in Sync 3 3.0 version 18025 (Current)? I think mine has been broken since I tried the unauthorized 3.0 beta version. I applied the fix so it recognized the production version 3.0 but still I cannot get apps to display. I've got a Pixel 2 XL android phone, and it is on the approved list, but the search for Apps is greyed out in the menu. I've got the bluetooth paired and the phone works, but no AppLinks.
Oh, and if it makes a difference, since getting the Pixel 2, I no longer get notified of ncoming text messages so I can't have them read to me. This used to work with my Windows phone.
Is there a way to reset it back to 2.3 that came with the truck to see if it is 3.0 or the beta upgrade that is causing me all my problems?

Have you tried it via USB yet?
How about FordPass? Do you also have that downloaded?

I also have the PIxel 2 and applinks work for me wirelessly just fine. I have the official Sync 3 v3.0 upgrade installed and everything works fine including text message notifications. I would try to install the official version of sync 3 v3.0 if you can.

I had a samsung s7 and had trouble with applink showing pandora. I've upgraded to a S9 and don't have any problems. i don't use applink anymore I use android auto on my phone . I have a wireless charger attached to my vent and android auto activates when i turn on my truck. I hate having to plug into the usb port at activate android auto so i just use it on my phone.
