The super CAB with a 6.5 foot bed has the same wheelbase as the superCrew 5.5 foot bed. (145 in.) My question is: Will they have the exact same turning radius?
I can't find the cab with a 6.5 bed for a test drive and want to see how it turns into my garage, so if they have the same radius I figured I'd just try it with the SCREW.
I would not be surprised if the 2WD can turn tighter than the 4WD given the same wheelbase. We have the 157" wheelbase, and I often have to phone ahead to make a U-turn.
I stand corrected! I just searched for you, here is what I found. I can't vouch for the accuracy, but here is what they say.
Like GlueGuy, I would have suspected the 2wd to offer a tighter turning radius.
Per Car and Driver, 2018 F-150
Turning Diameter - curb to curb
4x2 Supercab 6.5 bed = 47.1'
4x2 SuperCrew 5.5 bed = 47.8'
4x4 Supercab 6.5 bed = 47.1'
4x4 SuperCrew 5.5 bed = 47.8'

Ain't that the truth! I never thought my crew cab Ram dually would turn sharper than my F150 but it does.
Why the heck dose the crewcab have a slightly larger turning radius of a Supercab with same wheelbase??🤔
Hard to say. I know on the 2015s. at least, the SuperCabs did not have the crash bars in front of the front tires and the SuperCrews did. If they are still built the same way, the SuperCab may be able to turn tighter since there would be no concern about tires hitting the crash bar.
