I’m slowly tearing down the interior of my 1949 F1. It has been sitting for several years without running and I have some questions that should be obvious but I’m not used to working on anything older than about 1966.
1. The cowl has been sealed with what looks like window caulk, does it open with the lever on the right of the steering column when cleared?
2. Close to the windshield I have two ***** - wipers and ....?
3. I don’t see any heater controls - what should they be?
4. I have a headlight on the left of the column is it choke on the right? I see a throttle **** listed in the catalogs, should I have this?
5. I have a starter button on the left, any thoughts on the additional button all of the way to the left? Dome light?
1. The cowl has been sealed with what looks like window caulk, does it open with the lever on the right of the steering column when cleared? yes

3. I don’t see any heater controls - what should they be? below the dash to the right of key (if you have a heater)
4. I have a headlight on the left of the column is it choke on the right? correct I see a throttle **** listed in the catalogs, should I have this? not necessary
5. I have a starter button on the left, any thoughts on the additional button all of the way to the left? Dome light? an add-on
Since the radio?? speaker?? is out, it should be easy enough to chase the wire/cable from that **** and see where it goes. Same for the add-on push button on the far left of the dash. Just look underneath to see where it goes.
