Dash ***** 1966 F250

I would like to replace all of the dash ***** on my 66 standard cab (all 7 of them including the heater *****). Has anyone done this? is it difficult? I do not think the ***** just screw off and some of them I believe have metel post attached to them. Are there OEM or NOS around? Does anyone know the part numbers? Thanks

you should be able to find them in an LMC Truck catalog.

When I replaced the headlight and wiper switch. the **** on the wiper switch was held on with a small set screw through the black plastic of the ****. On the headlight switch you pushed a button on the switch to release the **** and shaft. My ***** were only missing the white inserts on the end and I ordered them through Dennis Carpenter.

O.E.M. (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and NOS (New Old Stock) will be the same...in this case...if you want Genuine Ford Parts.

All the following Ford parts are obsolete. Some have been reproduced, some can be found NOS.

DC has repopped the lighter ****, which only was furnished with the element "as original." If you want "as original" =

1) C1TZ-15052-A .. Lighter **** & Element.

2) C1TF-17513-A .. ****-Use with Wiper Switch and Heater Blower Switch.

1) C3TZ-11661-D .. 1963/66 F100/1100 Headlamp **** and Shaft / The shaft is 3 3/16" long / The **** was not available by itself.

Note: There is another that fits some 1961/64's (C1TF-11661-B), its shaft is 2 1/4" long.

The **** on the choke cable was only furnished with the cable "as original." There is more than one choke cable as it depends on engine size and 2WD or 4WD.

That's 5 *****, what are the other 2?

Does your truck have the Deluxe Fresh Air Heater? If so, there are 2 ***** attached to 2 cables that mount to a bracket that bolts under the dash to the right of the steering column.

1) C1TF-18534-A .. Heat Control Cable ****-Use w/Deluxe Fresh Air Heater.

1) C1TF-18534-B .. Temperature Control Cable ****-Use w/Deluxe Fresh Air Heater.

What are your plans...buying reproduction ***** or Gen-U-ine Ford parts?

I'd like to know before I spend an hour looking up, then typing the sources that (might) have the NOS parts.

Dash *****

Bill, Thanks, I want genuine FoMoCo parts if I can get them. Yes, the truck has the 2 ***** for the heat and fresh air under the dash on the right of the steering wheel. So I just do not replace the ***** alone or do they come with the post and cables also attached.

Hey Bruce,

Dennis Carpenter repro's them...they are exceptional quality, as good as OEM. You can
get them from C&G....weren't to pricey. They are released with a small allen-key...
(may be metric size as they are repro'd in China for Dennis Carpenter) The set screw
lines up with the flat portion of the male shaft the **** goes onto.

As original, ***** only except for the lighter and choke cable. The light switch **** was only furnished with its shaft.

I have DC's 1957/66 truck repro parts catalog on paper...I wish EVERYONE else did!

EXCEPTING the Deluxe heater's 2 specific ***** (I could not find a listing), Carpenter has repopped ALL the other *****, including the lighter and choke cable ***** that Ford did not offer separately.

DC also has the light switches **** and shaft (all listed on page 55). Call 800-476-9653 and order a free DC 1957/66 truck repro parts catalog.

Genuine Ford Parts...if they can be found, will be more expensive than repopped stuff. If you still want Genuine Ford, I'll see what I can find.

btw: C & G is located in beautiful downtown Escondido, but you can also get DC's ***** from FTE sponsor Blue Oval Truck Parts in Anaheim.
