Here is a link related to the wiring harness from the motor back. The harness connectors don’t seal properly and allow moister into them screwing up the electronics. This is on 2017 job #1 trucks. Post #51 talks about the TSB.
Is there a way to tell if you have the updated harness by looking at it, I assume the updated one looks a little different. I can't really go by the build date as it seems my truck was built either the last day of the old harness or the first day of the new one.
My build date is 3/2017 so I assume that is a Job 2 truck? I checked all or at least 4 of the connectors near the spare tire and they're all dry as a bone. Only the camera connector had a rubber seal that I could clearly see, but I really couldn't easily see a seal on the other connectors. They could still have a seal, just buried deep in the groove.
I'm sure it still has to be water getting in somewhere because it happened in the rain, and yes, after the dreaded car wash. Now that it's been a few days everything is back to operating normal for now.
