So hey, I have been looking for the factory molded mud flaps splash guards for my 2004 Excursion XLT pretty much since I got it, about 4 months now, with no luck.
If anyone knows where to find a set of these (or multiple sets) PLEASE let me know...
My question is this:
What's the best way to go for mud flaps that look as close to the factory ones? What is everyone else using? I'm just getting really tired of not having any. Thanks...

I bought the Husky ones for mine. I traced a limited F250's wheel opening and it matched mine so that is what I went with and they fit fine. I think I ordered a set for a 2005 F250. Not sure if Husky has them for an XLT pickup?
Good luck on your quest for the holy grail of excursion accessories, the factory mud flaps. Many of us here are in search of the same. I purchased mine in 03 when my Ex was new, had a blow out two years ago and lost one on the highway, I have been looking for the passenger side ever since
I bought my 2005 XLT new, and remember that Ford didn't offer a complete set for the XLT. If memory serves, only fronts were available. I put a set of DuraFlaps on mine in 2005, they've been on ever since. I believe that they have truly protected the Ex over the years....
All that being said, the DuraFlaps do not look "factory"...
I do love the look of the factory splash guards...what a dumb thing to stop making.
Being that I am in the midst of starting my own custom fabrication/welding business, I am now wondering if it would be worth my while to just flat out make some. I am thinking out of aluminum, and then maybe a coat of bedliner...

Same thing happened to one of my OEM LH rear flaps earlier this year. Vinny I still have a spare pass side rear flap. its yours if you want it.
To answer the OP though, I bought soem F250 flaps and made them fit, pretty easy for the back, just ran a self tapping screw in and its been holding fine.

Nice find. So just to confirm, these will NOT fit the 04 EB EX due to the running board and cladding?
The mudflaps that fit the Limited/EB are ford #YC3Z-16A550-CA, the part listed is YC3Z-16A550-BA . I read a listing that the BA flaps would not fit the cladding another kit,YC3Z-16A550-AA are flat and would fit any model but they are just molded rubber and the same as aftermarket flaps. You could always call the site and ask them if the BA flaps fit, I could have miss read the information. Hope this helps you
