Not sure if this was posted but I couldn't find anything. I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer edition. It has the small fender flares and body molding? Is there a mud flap that is a factory Ford piece that fits perfect with the molding and flares on? I have a pickup that I found factory Ford mud flaps that are shaped perfect to the fender but the truck has no flares or molding. Anyone know if they are available or a part number?
Yes, Ford did make a factory accessory splash guard/mud flap, for both with and without the cladding. AlaskanEx and I both have them on our Excursions.
They are very very hard to come by now, and probably not new. You could check at junkyards, but even then they will be hard to find. Otherwise watch eBay, but it will probably take a while.
I'm not sure about aftermarket options, but I'm sure something out there would fit.
Thanks. Not what I was hoping to hear. I did buy some but it was pretty obvious they weren't made to be used along with the trim. I may try to see if I can modify them but I'd prefer to find the original oem ones
I have been searching for a few years without any luck as well. I did buy a set that was SUPPOSED to fit my Eddie Bauer Ex from Tasco parts and they are close but no cigar. If I can I will try to post a photo of me holding one up against my Ex.
I would really like to have something in place before winter hits.
When my Ex was new, the dealer told me that there were no Ford flaps that would fit both front and rear. I seem to recall fronts were available.
I wound up with a set of Dura Flaps. https://duraflap.com. They've done a great job protecting the Excursion....for what it's worth....12 years later they are still on....
Attached is a pic showing the Tasca Eddie Bauer front mud flap. It kind of fits but I think it could be better. If I used this I would need to make a bracket on the inside to support it.
I may try and fabricate my own out of some 1/4" rubber I have kicking around.
If anyone has any suggestions I am all for it.
