For those with Duraflaps, are they pretty stiff so they stay put in the wind? If not, are the weights heavy enough to do any good? In the pictures on their website the weights look like they’re more for appearance than anything else. Thanks!
I just ordered a set today for the rear, WITH the weights. Even though they're thick and stiff, I would not be surprised if at speed the wind resistance bends them up a bit. So I figure every extra bit of weight will hopefully help to keep them more vertical.
They're pretty stiff by themselves, but the weights do look good. And they do add more weight. They've got some thickness to them, plus the hardware, etc. I run the extra wide, extra long on both front and rear. No problems with them flapping around.
They are STIFF. In 10,000 miles, mine have not moved. The weights are for decoration. In comparison to the stiffness, they do absolutely nothing. Trust me. The flaps aren't rubber. They are like a hard, semi-bendable HDPE. I love mine. On the construction site, I rarely get a spot of mud on my running boards. I bough the standard width, extra length. Love them. Glad I passed on the more expensive gators. They aren't even sized to compete with the Dura-Flaps. The Dura's are a true truck flap that does the job.
Thanks for the info guys. I hadn’t thought about the front but I like the idea of clean running boards so now I think I’ll order a set of 4. Thanks again for the insight!

Absolutely a great idea. I put the Husky mud guards on the front. The running boards are much cleaner than with nothing at all, but stuff still gets up there every now and then.
I've been running the DuraFlaps on my '11 dually for 174K miles with not one issue. I'll be ordering a full set for my '19 dually as soon as I place the order for the new truck. Considering the wide/longer for the fronts on the '19. These are the standard fronts that I'm running now. As someone else said, the stainless weight is more decorative than functional, the flaps are stiff and don't blow. I have them on mine now and will get them on the new ones, goes along with the chrome package that I'll be putting on the truck.
I've had Duraflaps on my truck for nearly 100,000 miles, they don't move. One time I got to ride alongside my DRW at highway speed and the rear flaps had the same curve they have sitting in the driveway.
