Recently put a manual slider in my 2000. Windows from first gen SD fit, year 1999 thru 2007. With 2 people you can easily pop your old window out by prying the rubber from inside, got mine out without using any tools. Using a piece of small dia rope got the slider installed in about 15 minutes. Just remember, if you are taking out a single glass window, to buy window gasket with the big square channel that goes with the new slider, about $50 USD.

Thanks, I already have a manual slider & the rubber gasket is good, someone said that up to 2014 are the same but I want to know 100% before I commit to anything as I'm in the UK & can't afford to buy something that won't fit.

Hold on a minute... Shovelheadrob said he was thinking of installing a POWER rear sliding window, not a MANUAL one like you installed.
Counter intuitively, the POWER rear sliding windows require the same gasket as for a single non sliding window. Do NOT use the gasket for the MANUAL sliding rear window for a POWER rear sliding window. It doesn't matter whether or not the Power rear slider comes from Ford Accessories or from CR Laurence (they are the same, as CR Laurence is the supplier to the Ford Accessories branded version for gasket set power rear sliders).
All of the foregoing applies to gasket set back lites. The later model urethane set glass I have no personal experience with or information about.

That's good information that I wasn't aware of.

I'm assuming that the later urethane set you refer to is what we would term "bonded" in the UK, I'm also guessing that the aperture would be slightly different?
i don't think the aperture is different, but I do not know about the flange relief or inset differences between the bonded (urethane set) vs the gasket set backlights.
i do know the sheetmetal stampings, weldments, and other cut outs are different on the back panels of Super Duties, with those changes occuring around the 2005 model year for US and Mexican built Superduties. Not sure about Brazilian built right hand drive models which got exported to Australia and England though. The Brazilian built models were last to receive updates (but got a cool rear suspension system that North American models never had).
One difference in the back panel stamping is the holes for the cab vents. Completely different. Another difference is the holes and weld captures nuts for child safety seat retention. There are a couple of other small differences also, but the main point is not to assume that Ford uses the exact same stampings for the cab sheet metal from 1999-2016. There are differences, even though the panels look identical from the outside.
I dont know if these differences effect the set back of the rear window flange to accomodate the change to bonded glass. Maybe there is no difference in the metal in that area. I only piped up to warn you about the gasket for the power rear slider, versus the manual rear slider.
Interchange is 1999-2007 and 2008-2016. You can use the late model glass in your early super duty if you glue it in rather than using your gasket and you can use the early rear glass in a late model if you use the gasket instead of the glue.
Thanks guys, I think that we have all bases covered now! My truck is Canadian spec, I've never seen a rhd Super Duty here in the UK although I've seen a couple of pics in the newspapers of one's used by the police counter terrorism / armed response units so they may well be!
