I have this issue with the intermittent wipers. They're too slow. There are times when I want to use intermittent settings, but need it to go quicker than they do on the slow setting.
I've not sat down with a stop watch, but in my '89 Bronco II the first setting on intermittent was a wipe every, probably second and a half (if memory serves...) The first setting on my F-150, (turning the **** counter-clockwise just enough to click) it takes like, I dunno, 6 or 7 seconds between a wipe....maybe it's not that long, but it seems like it.
I'm talking about the times when low speed wiping is annoying, but the shortest interval delay is too long. There is a noticible difference between that BII and this F-150.
So, my question is, has anyone dealt with this? Can the module from another truck, say a 89 or 90 BII or 92-96 F-150 plug into my '91 system?
I hope that makes sense, and I hope I'm not the only one in the world that's finds this a problem..
Yeah, I looked at all the posts I could find. I don't believe my problem is a malfunction. More a design flaw in my opinion. Everything functions fine, low, high, intermittent from short delay to long delay. I figure the delays are approximately twice as long as they should be. I did a rough estimate on the road about a half hour ago...12 second delay on the short side, 19 on the long.
Anyway, I can check the contacts and everything, but I'm pretty positive it's not broken. I just want to make it better.
