Acquired a 'new to me' F150 SC Short Bed with a 5.0 and AOD transmission. Had 103,00 on the clock when I got it. After adding 1,500 miles, half of which I was towing a 4500# trailer, I believe I made a droopy rear end worse.
Prior to the tow, the rear left corner of the bumper was 1/4" lower than the same point on the right. After the tow, the left corner is 1" lower.
Changes that I've made to the vehicle since purchase have been to replace the rear fuel tank fuel pump, align the front end (required shims and new upper ball joints), change trans filter and fluid, and to put on BFG All Terrain T/A's in size 31x10.50 to replace the worn out 235/75R15's.
Prior to the tow, the rear end looked a little jacked up - almost like the front springs were soft. Now, the truck is more level. I'm curious if anyone has information on what the stock ride height should be so I can determine if the springs are shot, and if so, which ones need to be replaced.
