I cleared the codes, I am going to run it around a bit to let it go through the cycle and see if the codes come back. I know the stock exhaust was chocking it bad. It's like a whole new animal now.
After putting a 4in turbo back exhaust on over the weekend, the truck is pushing 29-30 pounds of boost. This is overboosting correct? Could this narrow it down to the MAF sensor?
Best way to clean the MAF? Or replace it?
You have some true experts helping you here, but I just want to throw out that after I had a bunch of work done on the truck, including cleaning turbo, I saw boost numbers up to 32. Then Slowly the VGT did its re-learn and the top number came down to where I now see a max of about 27-28. VGT re-learn will cause high boost for a while too (also had turbo f^rt during this time, lasted maybe 200 miles)...
I'll step back on the sidelines now and let these fine gentlemen continue to help you....
I could have swore I read a thread that said to monitor the BARO/MAP/MAF & VGT so I did. At idle, BOOST 0 (obviously), VGT 58, BARO 14.2, MAP 14, MAF 33.6 g/s. Cruising at 70, BOOST 11, VGT 49.2, BARO 14.2, MAP 25, MAF 180 g/s
I don't know if this is of any help or not. I could have swore I read this was a way to diag it before.
I looked back in my pictures on my phone and I did have the P132B & P0401 back in July before my truck went down over the winter for some work. However, I did not have the MAF code. I cleaned my turbo in September of last year and everything seemed fine, no damage.
