Just installed it and tried cranking truck and it just spun over with no crank. It finally cranked and lost bt connection and while running I pressed connect on phone app and truck stumbled but continued to run. I checked my boost and it was only 0.1 at idle and only 3 with revving engine to 2700 rpm.
What is the truck we are working with? What is the obd device you have and what brand? Is it ELM327 compliant? Would love to help but due to a lack of needed info I am unable to assist.
I've seen stuff like this happen when a bogus gauge is selected on the app. It's best to test each gauge on the app with KOEO before trying to load 'em all up at once.
Should I use torque pro app (free or paid), instead of using the OBDLink app from the OBD link mx device?
yes we have had the best luck with Torque pro (check the 2018 PIDs thread and the Torque Pro FAQ link in my sig for more helpful info) sounds like a PID is not playing well with the app you are trying to use...
I have tried every reasonably decent Android app that can read all the sensors on our OBDII ports - Torque Pro is the most user friendly, reliable, configurable, and attractive. The rest either look lame or are lame - for daily monitoring. FORScan wins hands-down for troubleshooting, but TP is the one I bring up for daily driving.

I have had this happen a couple of times where the truck would not start. Close your app or pull the BT adapter out of your OBDII port and then your truck should start up.
