BLUE SMOKE

I am hoping the blue smoke that I saw coming out of exhaust, when truck started running rough, was due to lack of fuel being delivered to regulator. I changed filter and haven't had a chance to do hutch mod yet.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, blue smoke in the exhaust is oil being burn't in the combustion. Does it happen when the engine is cold? Does it still happen after truck is up to temp?

Truck was warm at the time. I felt it starting to run rough again and lose HP like it did pulling my camper last weekend, and i looked behind me and saw just a small amount of smoke when it was running rough, but went away almost instantly.

Hi, is it smoking blue when you hit the throttle, after the truck was pushing
If yes, the valve seal / guides are gone.
Or
If it is a turbo charged engine, which i don‘t know. The turbo might be gone
