White Smoke
Here we go:
1. Start Truck (34 deg this AM) - starts fine, no romps, no rough idle, no white smoke.
2. Let truck warm up for a few minutes - no white smoke
3. Drive away - No smoke
4. 1st stoplight - Tons of white smoke while stopped - It looked like a mosquito Fogger was attached to my truck!
5. Green Light - Drive on - Smoke goes away after about 100yds
Plans - based on what I read in the Sticky thread:
1. Check GPR - Mine is the Orig (about 5.5 years young)
2. Check GP resistance - Orig GP's as well
3. Check Valve cover connector pins for Damage/burning or discoloration
One thing that's buggin me - If I have bad GP's or GPR - Why don't I have a starting problem? One other thing that may or may not be related to all of this: I replaced my Fuel Filter right before this started - this was my first trip since changing it Tuesday night. Could I just have some residual air in the fuel system that's causing the smoke? Or, is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Done the CCV Mod? I'm wondering if you have an intercooler full of oil and it's getting blown into the engine.
Edit: I just read your post again and your question about the fuel filter is valid. I've had my truck smoke more when purging the air as well, but not enough to be called a mosquito fogger.
