Purchased a 95 F150 4wheeldrive with 4.9 from a nonfranchised dealer check engine light was on he only had scanner for 96 and newer so i took a trip to autozone and out came 5 codes the 1st one was 111 which means all is well but the others 133,245,233
245 was not listed in his haynes manual he had. Any help would be appreciated on this matter
thats what he had written down i seen in another thread about taking it to autozone to get the trouble codes read so i assumed they knew what they were doin but i guess i was wrong gonna try to use a jumper wire to get codes through check engine light flashing is this reliable method?
First off, 111 does exist. That means EEC-IV system pass. Means the computer is fine.
Now, the other codes do not exist. Also, the computer will not repeat codes until it has gone through the entire list of codes it has. It only stores a code once, no matter how many times it is registered.
Getting the codes by jumpering the plug in is fine. I do it all the time.

well thats what he had wrote down i found it odd that should repeat the same thing i ran one using the jump wire and got 33 which i cannot find 13 which is IAC sensor a 32 which i couldn't find and a 332 during the engine run test. Anybody know anything about these codes?
jbalestri many thanks to you and the others. I found the codes that i just mentioned on that site and my hunch was right was egr valve problem and something with EVP are those related or work off each other i dunno what the EVP is. Also do they make the Chilton's Repair manuals i haven't see one at a book store or elsewhere in nearly 10 yrs i prefer them to the haynes.

You can get a repair CD on ebay for like $10. You have to be model specific, but lots of people here use then and lov 'em. You might even be able to find a factory set.
EVP is the sensor on the valve. Someone correct me but, aren't you supposed to have 2 digit codes or 3 digit codes? Never seen them mixed like that but, hey, i must've worked. What happened to the 11 or 111? Did you just not mention that one?
From the link I gave you(which is Chilton's Online Guide):
Results for code: 33
Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Noisy/Harsh On Line (Continuous Memory)
-or-
EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit, EGR Valve Opening Not Detected (Engine Running & Continuous Memory)
-or-
Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self-Test Not Initiate
Results for code: 32
EGR Valve Position (EVP) Sensor Circuit Voltage Below Closed Limit
Results for code: 332
Insufficient EGR Flow Detected/EGR Valve Opening Not Detected (EVP/PFE/DPFE)
Results for code: 13
DC Motor Did Not Move (Key On, Engine Off)
-or-
Idle Control Fault - Cannot Control RPM During Self-Test Low RPM Check (Engine Running)
-or-
DC Motor Did Not Follow Dashpot (Continuous Memory)
To use the link I gave before, enter the year, F150 and then enter. Then select the appropriate box. Then click on "Trouble Codes" and enter the results you get.

well in the haynes book 11 or 11 is suppose to be system pass replaced the sensor on the egr valve and the switch that the vacum lines go to the truck still seems like it dont' wanna go to 3rd just straight to OD when driving on the highway shifts first then second they when it goes to third its like it shifts back and forth between 3rd and OD and usually stays there unless i turn the OD off but the EGR part is fixed no more check engine light w00t

O.K. I've been working on the other brand too long. How do you explain the mixing of the 2 & 3 digit codes? Do they do that now or was that just a mistake?
that was the part that had me the most confused when writing the codes down the initial codes are the KOEO codes after its ran through that part it goes to the continous codes i am assuming all the 3 digits are continous codes. I am new to FORDs as well but i have had all GM Brands and Dodge and Toyota they all work good for me.
