Running rough

I got a 96 f150 straight 6 300 5speed manual that was running ok but not perfect so I gave it a tune up spark plugs and wires but and in the process of doing that I snapped a vacuum line and I fixed that but now the truck is running worse than before I also changed cap ,rotor and ignition coil thinking that was the problem but it was not i need help to fix it it’s my only way to work and high school

first check to make sure the snapped vacuum line was put back on its respective ports

if the rough running came after the ignition tune up...

check the gap on all the spark plugs and make sure all wires are on the correct plug and in the right place on the cap. ive seen trucks run with the wrong firing order

and was the cap put on the same way, i have seem some worn out caps that will go on the facing the wrong direction

and i don´t know if this will help you but do you have a vacuum gauge? a vacuum can help you to diagnose almost any engine running issue.

First things first. Pull the diagnostic codes. Some parts houses do this for free.

Connect a piece of hose to the vacuum tree and blow cigar smoke through to check for leaks. On a calm sunny day it's easy to see any smoke that may seep out around the engine.
