Bluetooth speaker question

I listen to several different podcast to and from work. Our older trucks don't have Bluetooth stereos so I'm using a stand alone bluetooth speaker that must be recharged. It's a PITA and there is no way to mount it. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with Bluetooth speaker(s) without needing to replace the radio/CD player that I could mount and hard wire?
Thanks, David

In all of my vehicles I use a bluetooth receiver that plugs into the cigarette lighter and transmits to an FM frequency so I can simply tune the radio to an unused frequency and listen to music/podcasts through the in-dash radio. They're very inexpensive and turn ANY radio into a bluetooth radio.

I guess that's the modern equivalent of the cassette adapter that ran an audio cord into the tape player of your radio. I remember driving cross country 30 years ago playing CD's that way.

I bought one of these: [

] While I have a modern head unit, there are a number of flaws that drive me to replace it later. Until then, my satellite radio broadcasts on an FM channel to the head unit.

One other possible answer here - I have yet to see a portable Bluetooth device that didn't charge with a USB cable.

Nah, just the cheap ebay "bluetooth fm transmitter" search will get you where you need to be for $10 or so. I actually bought four of them in one go and they are so Chinese that the "EngRish" is hiRarious. When powering up, it says, "Brootoof mode". When it connects to the phone, it says, "Dah brootoof device has connected-uh successfurry".

not sure what your options are but if your able to pop a different radio in and are looking to keep a "factory radio" this may be an option for you
