Have to agree with Hickory1991 here: Check for power at the brake light switch and for correct play/adjustment. If all is well, chase the wires down to where they might be pinched/frayed/shorted.

since your rear turn signals work, that eliminates rear bulbs, grounds, sockets and wiring from the steering column connector...assuming the hazard flasher is good, you most likely have an issue in the turn signal switch...
