Have you checked fuses and flashers?

Fuses are good but front flashers work but back do not.

Ok. My 78 Bronco had an issue where all the lights worked except the brake lights and it was a fuse. I had a guy pull up next to me to let me know they weren't coming on. The fuse looked ok, but when I replaced it they started working.

When you say the front flashers work and the back don't, do you mean just the hazards don't flash in the rear or the hazards AND turn signals in the rear? BTW, this is what I mean by "flashers".

I'm also assuming you've checked the bulbs and that they're good and have both filaments working.

Oh sorry both flashers work I'll change the fuse tommorow when the sun is out and let you know on that. Hazards don't flash in the rear ,turn signals work though, and the bulbs are new.

Check your socket grounds to the truck and make sure you have good grounds in the sockets. Most electrical gremlins come from bad grounds.

With the new bulbs in and clean pigtail and frame grounds, have a helper stand on the brakes whist you use a test light using it from the pigtail socket to a good ground. Wiggle the bulb a bit when doing this, too.

Does the test light come on?

just for clarification:
do the left and right rear turn signals work individually?
when you say rear hazards don't flash, do you mean they light up but don't blink, or they never light up??

Hazards in the rear never light up and left and right turn signals are working individually.

Have you checked the brake light switch to make sure it hasn't moved, getting power, or for power leaving switch to taillights. If power is leaving brake light switch start following wires back to taillights checking periodically to find where power stops. Check the pigtail on the rear harness for power to brake lights.

After doing that I am getting constant power from the hazards/emergency warning switch. But why would that not make the break lights turn on? It kinda makes sense but also doesn't.
