I went to start truck and battery light was flickering when the glow plugs and injectors were buzzing. Once all the racket is done the light stays on. Truck starts but then idles rough and stalls within a few minutes.
I took batteries and alternator in to get tested; all tested fine. I get ficm sync, ficm voltage is 48.5, IPR and ICP both read what they should. The alternator is a reman for a 97 f250. Could it be the alternator giving up. I did get high voltage code on #8 injector once . Any ideas? It's a 2005.

Reason: left year out
Looks like a bad alt to me
Just keep in mind a bench test usually spins the alternator Faster then it does at Idle in the truck so it Not the best test to do cause it looks good output on bench but fails in-vehicle
Does a 97 F-250 alternator put out enough amp to properly run a 6.0L It just sounds sketchy to me But it could be Fine I don't know enough about that to say other then sounds sketchy without the research to back it up
The last Alternator I had Bench tested Passed on the bench But failed Ford Pinpoint test below
On a 3 wire alternator, the one terminal detects proper alternator voltage. It's not a "battery" light, it's an alternator charging light. If it's still on with another alternator, it's either bad or not connected properly.
I cleaned up the engine block and frame grounds and checked the rest. No luck. I am stumped on why it starts and then stalls within a minute. Maybe it has nothing to do with the battery light flickering but they both started at the same time. I did find that the oil pressure sending unit wire was bare and frayed at the terminal on the oil cooler. I don't know if that could cause any issues.

Reason: added stuff
Cam and crank/ FICM sync is 1. FVP 11.5, FMP 49, FLP 12, IPR 14.7, ICPV .2, after starting FMP 48.5, HPOP 1209, IPR 33. So after it shuts down now the fuel pump sounds real rachety not the smooth pump sound. I have a cap coming in with the valve to check fuel pressure. Could it be the lift pump, the HFCM has fuel/dirt on it.
