I have a 2001 Ranger with 4.0L SOHC engine. There is a short (about 8 inch) formed hose that tees off one of the two heater coolant hoses that go through the fire wall. I cannot seem to find the name ID or part number for this hose anywhere.

The hose in question is the one that goes up, then left then right from the heater hose. it is the 2nd one behind the oil filler tube.


This is the other end of the hose after it has turned down and left again. It it the one with the screw clam in this picture (3rd from the top) near where it attaches to a 1/4" pipe just above the temp sensors.

 

A lot of times those hoses are not available because you can go into any auto parts store and buy it by the foot. You just need to know the diameter.

 

It might come to that but I would prefer to get an OEM part because it is formed with 4 bends in it..
