Scarebird front disc conversion

Hi Folks and greetings from Bonny Scotland,

ive recently bought a Scarebird conversion for my 72 and I was hoping some of you guys that have done it could provide me with some info?

can I use my standard power brake master cylinder or do I need to change it to a later one and if I do which master cylinder do I need?

i know I need a proportional valve, can you recommend one?

Did you just join your original brake lines down at the original differential valve with a T piece and female x female Union?

Thanks in advance, Davie.

Greetings from California... land of the fruits and home of the flakes.

Master cylinder... you'll need to swap from a drum/drum MC to a disc/drum MC. Disc brake calipers require more fluid volume to operate properly. Therefore the MC you get will have a large reservoir for the front and comparably smaller reservoir for the rear.

Proportioning valve...i prefer the Wilwood adjustable PN 260-11179

I deleted the distribution valve cuz it is unnecessary when using a proportioning valve.. the prop valve's output is two ports for the front and one port for the rear.

Thanks for the reply, can I use a master cylinder from a later model then? Also I assume I can use the power brake servo I already have and bolt the new MC to it?

Yes, you can use a later model Disc/Drum M/C. And your existing brake "booster".
