Power steering lubricant
I am completing the power steering conversion on a 69 using a 77 donor. May be a goofy question, but does the power steering box require any lubricant other than the power steering fluid ? The manual box required hypoid gear oil. If the power box does require this, where do you put it in ? My shop manuals do not refer to any other lube. Thanks in advance.

Only the p/s fluid needed. In moderate climates you can get away with tranny fluid but the p/s fluid is more refined and designed to take higher temperatures. If your truck is going to be subjected to subzero temperatures you might want to get some of the stuff from Mercedes Benz that they reccomend for cold weather. It doesn't turn to pudding like the over the counter stuff does at 20 below.
