The 312 has a different block with the larger bore and, more importantly, a different webbing geometry to accommodate the larger main bearings to fit the 312s larger diameter main bearings.
312 blocks are often cracked through the main bearing webs.
do you have any extra front fenders both lt & rt for a 57 f100
Due to many logistical problems, I still haven't got the truck yet. It's waiting at the border. I'll know better once I receive it. I do have two fenders in my garage that are in fair shape, but I don't want to sell them until I see the truck.
