2016 F350 diesel engine exhaust filter or sensor issues

I Have a 2016 (early ie. Feb build date) that I am constantly getting cleaning exhaust filter yellow warnings and now exhaust filter overloaded drive to clean?! The early build versions had a problem with the exhaust gas valves and my engine has been down to the shaft at my dealership. Their diesel mechanic has done the programmed "blow out" computerized cleaning of the filter to a very short lived experience sans yellow warnings. Has anybody else experienced these problems? It seems as there was a very small window of 3-4 months that the diesels were manufactured and then there was a significant change but little to no transparency of why other that the EGV recall. I believe it is a bad sensor or software bug. Anyone?

I have not seen on any of the forums I visit about the 2016's have valve issues. The early 2011's had the valve issues. Your engine might be an exception but doubt it had the same problems as the 2011's.

What is your driving habits? Do you only take short trips around town or longer commutes for work or ?

I would think the tech would have update the PCM/ECM software to the latest version when they had the truck in the shop. Why not contact the dealer and ask them for a copy of the work performed.

I have a January 2016 build and have no issues. I do try my best to complete a regen when possible.

Are you making short trips and shutting the truck off shortly after the exhaust cleaning begins?

The build Date on My 2016 is 08/15. It is our Daily Driver, and is mainly driven on short runs (Grocery Getter). Coming up on 33Kmi and no DPF Problems. Only Problem is Premature Wear of the Michelins. Sure wish they had given me the Toyos instead.

bwisecup, I have a 2016 that was built April 2016 that has about 21,500 miles. I've had no DPF related issues and my regens usually go out to 500 miles.
I've never gotten a Drive to Clean message at all but most of my driving is highway and country with some city. I hope you get this straightened out bro. Good luck.

We just bought a 2015 F-350 with 57,000 miles two weeks ago. It went back to the dealership the first week with the DEF System Fault and they replaced the #2 knock sensor. Now twice since then we've popped "Engine Idled Soon" (went away within 10-20 min and I'm fixing to lose my **** at this dealership. We have a trip to Florida this Saturday and doing 50 down I-75 IS NOT in the plan.

+1, It always makes me laugh though. The delete crowd is a committed group to spreading their message.
