Hey All, traded my '15 SRW 350 for a '17 DRW 350. I've noticed over the last few extended trips that the hood shakes and looks as if it's going to blow open above 70 MPH, I've checked the latch, adjusted the stops and still have the issue. Never happened with my '15, is this just something we have to live with since Ford went to aluminum?

Thanks
Mine has done the same, especially a few days ago coming back from the coast while a front was blowing in. Makes you feel like the hood is going to blow open. I think it’s something we’ll have to live with on these new fords as I couldn’t find anything that was loose, though I didn’t spend to long looking at.
This has never happened on my truck. If it is something that is actually observable, I'd take it to the dealer and take the service manager for a ride.
I've seen it mentioned in other threads. I've seen some lifting/bouncing at highway speeds if there's any wind.
Especially noticable if you are being passed by a semi, too. So far I haven't heard of any one's hood
flying open. YIKES!! Fingers crossed.
Haven't noticed on my 250 yet but did notice it on my 16 f150. What color is your truck? My F150 was ruby red. Just curious if it's more noticeable depending on color of hood.

Sounds like it was a pretty easy fix, glad to see you took the initiative to perform a bit of adjusting on your own. Sure beats running to the dealer all in a flap, sitting in the waiting room for a couple of hours and spending gas money on something so easy to do yourself. Hats off to ya!
I may or may not have stepped on it on the way home tonight. No hood shaking. At all. Not sure what the dampeners are that were mentioned but y'all may want to give that a try.
