No shaking on our trucks but did have a squirrel drop Acorns from trees and put dents in the hood . We are not too happy with the Aluminum body .

Yeah, I'd like to see some pictures, too. Either you guys are constantly driving into hurricane force headwinds or I just got lucky with a solid hood. At ~60mph, even with a semi going by, I barely have a quiver.

Yup, happened to me a few times. The hood flutters vertically at the driver side hinge when driving into a strong headwind.

I would take a look at the underside of the hood at they support structure and see if any of the spot welds or where the inner structure is folded to see if you have any sepperation .
If so take some photos at least you can document on your end if it escalades the problem .
Hope they just don't try and shoot it up with some poly-urethane or expandable type foam but thats what they would try and do .

my 2001 SD did this also, albeit to a much less degree, than my 2017. I have played with the bumpers and it helps but does not cure it.

I regularly drive 75-80 and have hit 95 on multiple occasions and I have never noticed any shaking or vibrating coming from the hood or body panels of any kind. We also have crazy winds out here.

I’ve only noticed it one time when driving about 65 with 35-40 mph crosswinds. I seriously thought the latch was going to fail and I was going to lose my hood. I’ve never noticed it when being passed by a semi. Then again I’m normally passing the semis.

i wonder if this is just a design issue with Fords latch system. What it can't pin point is the movement up and down or rocking side-to-side on the bumpers? I have tried to press down and pull up on the center of the hood and it does not budge.

I've definitely noticed it. It was scary at first, but I'm assuming its normal now. No creases in the aluminum that I can detect.

This is the crease / dent I noticed the day after my first experience with the hood shake. No paint breakage no scratches etc. I don’t know and can’t say for sure it was the cause but is weird it showed up after that occurrence. Also let me clarify I’m NOT Saying I have hood separation just would be concerned if it did happen in the future due to the extreme deflection in the hood.

My hood shakes like crazy at pretty much any highway speeds. After freaking out thinking the hood wasn't latched correctly, upon realizing it was latched fine, I just assumed the aluminum is too thin on the hood, design flaw.

Same shake on mine. With highways speeds of 75 and 80 and the high winds we had this weekend, I really thought it was going to come off. I have noticed it before but I was on the toll which is 85. I really don't notice it when going under 80 without a strong headwind.

On a trip across Nevada yesterday there was a nasty wind storm. My hood would flex, bounce and shake pretty good at times. The worst was when passing (or being passed by) a semi truck. Seems like a design flaw in the hood to have this number of people with the exact same problem.

I asked about hood shaking (mine does it too) at my dealerships service department. Service manager called his “regional service engineer” his reply “this is first I heard of it”. Service manager went on to say...first they would have to recreate the problem. They would have to recreate it with a truck in inventory. If it can be created in both trucks then Ford will not do anything — it is normal. They will not do anything further until enough people complain. So go and lodge a complaint. It would be great if somebody could record it on a dash cam.
