Isolating 4WD Vacuum system

I'd like to know if anyone has had success isolating there hubs from the vacuum system and wouldn't mind sharing their experience? I've seen quite a few posts regarding the subject. I've got a vac pump/guage on the way and am sure i'll be finding an issue. My plan is to isolate the hubs and just use the auto/lock feature manually until I purchase the warn hubs. I read one interesting thread where someone used a fuel filter inline to allow moisture to escape and not damage the hubs. I would like to attempt this placement near the solenoid. Does anyone have any ideas on the setup? Thanks

All you do is unplug the vacuum lines at each hub and stick a cap over the nipple. When I replaced my auto hubs with Warn manuals, Warn included caps. They’re just plain old solid plastic caps; not breathable or anything.

You can wait until you get the Warn hubs. No need to unplug or cap anything off until then. Just manually lock your hubs and you’ Good to go.

You can also unplug the actuator under the hood so no vacuum goes to the hubs, then there is no need to cap anything off.
