Why Warn Hubs??

I know several with ESOF have switched to Warn hubs so they can have 2wd low range for backing and additionally, Warn makes excellent hubs. Why not just unplug the electrical connection on the solenoid that directs vacuum to the front hubs? Without vacuum directed to the front hubs, when system is switched to 4wd or 4wd low, the front hubs are in free range as long as they are turned to auto. No vacuum, no engagement. When you want 4wd, just manually lock the hubs. You end up with the same system as having Warn hubs without having to buy them.

Sometimes you can't get the **** on the hub to lock or unlock, and in some cases like mine it wouldn't totally unlock so when you turned into a parking spot you could feel the hub was not totally unlocked. Warn hubs are better quality IMO.

I could go with that. If my stock hubs ever go bad I would go with Warn also. In the meantime, I will take the cheap route out in the manual hub routine. Seems to work ok.
