I have a valve leak on my tires for quite some while now. I am now currently in Clewiston, Florida and it's been almost impossible to have service at a Ford dealer here because they are all booked up and my truck is from Canada. So my local dealer t home told me to go to a tire shop near me and juste put normal valves so that it doesn't leak on the way back. The tire shop did the two front one but could not remove the two outer rear tires at all. They say they are really stuck. Any idea what would cause that ?
Also does anybody have a contact in fort lauderdale / Davie/ west palm beach area with a dealer maybe? English is not my first language and it's been hard for me to explain my problem to them.
So basically I don't even want them to fix it, just change the valves so I can go back to Canada
I've had the rear wheels get stuck on previous DRW, probably from the aluminum and steel wheels being pressed together. On one, I loosened the lugs about 1/8" and the slowly drove up and down the driveway and applying the brakes until they broke free. I also developed a valve stem leak while traveling this winter. A local tire shop was able to replace the seal on the valve stem. Be aware, I've had several aluminum dually wheels scratched up by tire techs not used to dealing with the dually offset.
Try a different tire shop. I've found Discount Tire to be very competent in my travels.
There is a location in West Melbourne but you might not make it before they close. And they are not open on Sundays.
Like was said previously, back the lug nuts off until they are away from touching the wheel and go do a couple of figure 8's in the parking lot. They will loosen up.
