Wonky Tail Lights
Now in the picture I see a line to the choke does it go to the exh manifold? If so then it would be just the line in your hand needs to be hooked up, easier said then done.

Thanks,

If the motor is running there should be a vacuum on that port. So the metal line goes thru the exh manifold where the line gets heated and warm air pulled up to the choke.
On the bottom side of the manifold is the other side of the metal line that goes up to the top of the carb where the black cap is. The vacuum draws filtered air from there.
I think someone explained it better in a post above how it works. Cold air in at carb (black cap) thru exh manifold to heat air to choke to help heat and open choke as motor heats up.

That tube wraps around the rear of the carb does go straight down onto the manifold. Upon inspection I did notice a small crack, which I hope you can see it in the images below.
How much of a pain in the A%# is replacing one of those? I don't really see a way to disconnect it on the manifold side without major surgery.
I looked around for where the other metal tube could connect onto the bottom of the manifold and didn't see anything, I'll put it up on ramps this weekend and take a much closer look with a flashlight.
Does anybody know of a source who sells pre-bent metal tubes to replace the upper and lower that have corroded on my F150?
looking down on the manifold, small crack in the line visible
another shot staring straight down
wide shot of the whole enchilada
i noticed some leakage, maybe a bad seal at the bottom of the carb
As for the tubes I=they use to sell them in the "help" section of the auto parts stores and if they don't have in stock should be able to order it for you.
Now if not worried on looks, get a coil of copper tubing and fitting for the carb and wrap a few coils around the manifold so it picks up heat and run it to the choke & carb like stock.
I am thinking strongly on doing this on mine as I can wrap it around 1 of the EFI tubes and it should get hot.
Thing is the PO buggered up the choke fitting on the carb so I need to see if I can even get a nut & compression fitting to work on the choke housing first.
