I started out racing dirt bikes in my early teens. Been racing in one form or another ever since. In cars since I was in my 20s. I work in the professional racing industry and do consulting on the side. On some racecars a half pound of air pressure is very significant. I live and die by the accuracy and consistency of air gauges.

Although this is old still a good read.
FWIW In my experience, measuring in KPA seems to be the best route to accurate and precise measurements.
Dispite my best efforts I still haven’t found a device that matches the TPMS in my Ford.
