Tailgate adjustment ?

My tailgate is misaligned. When closed, the driver side is flush and lines up but the passenger side is off about 1/2”-3-4”. Also when closing the right side has to be slammed kinda hard.
I don’t know if it came from the factory like this or something happened my Line-X took my tailgate off to spray.

Is is there a way to adjust?
I looked at the rubber L number towards the top and they don’t look adjustable

This is a defect with these trucks, the tailgates are warped/twisted and the top passenger side of the gate sticks out past the bed line. I have the same problem, but not as bad as yours, mine is about 3/16" off.
Really aggravating issue that Ford doesn't seem to care about. If anyone else has this issue I suggest you speak up so Ford sees this as a defect in manufacturing. Never had an issue like this on any other truck.

Same here. I've had two tailgates, same issue. My misalignment is on driver side - passenger side is perfect. Adjusted latch pin with moderate results. Better, still not fixed. Ah well.

Just for reference, my tailgate lines up perfectly on both sides.

I can get mine to 'line up' but there is much more pullout loading on the passenger striker pin. I can hear it pop on that side each time I open the tailgate. If I slowly close the gate, until the driver side latches, the passenger side sticks out about 3/16" up top.

Aluminum warps easily. I've noticed if I close mine from the driver's side it doesn't latch the second click on the passenger side. If I close the gategate pushing more one the passenger side it latches and works correctly.

Can’t believe ford would not quality control that. Seems like an easy fix. Especially on $50k+ trucks
