which water pump
Its time for the water pump to be replaced on my 02.
Should I get an OEM one? Is there a better brand to buy, or is one from an auto parts store ok?

Used a few from Riffraff Diesel over the years. I think one of the earliest has been on for almost 6 years now.

I was in a pinch when I had to do mine and have one from the Irish store on there. I originally went with an OEM reman but it leaked like a sieve. Had to do it twice. If you have the luxury of waiting for shipping, I second the Riff Raff pump.

Grab Clay's billet t stat housing, too. It's worth it. Stripped bolts and/or fighting to get that thin factory aluminum to seal evenly, even with RTV, can be a headache.
Would also be a good time for the upper rad hose that routes around the serpentine belt.

If you want to go with a filter for your coolant system you can do this
Bus Parts, International, Powerstroke, Ford
Nicmike did a pretty good write up on the install and parts. It's a bit more work but your cooling system will be filtered. You can buy the complete kit from dieselsite but it's $400+. Piece it yourself and it's just over $200
